The year is 2387, the Dominion war is past and the Alpha Quadrant is finding it's feet again in the fragile balance that exists between the Federation, the Klingon, Romulan and Cardassian powers. As a token of and to strengthen the alliance between the Klingon Empire and the Federation, the IKS D'ama will operate in Task Force 21, Task Group B, directly authorized by the High Council.

Kronyx and mission notes

Hi all

I just want to inform you that Hayleigh, the player behind our romantic Kronyx had resigned due to her other commitments. We wish her all the best and she is welcome to return to the sim at any time.

At the moment we will leave Kronyx as an NPC, but Ho'S'a who has been acting Chief of security, will be made Chief of Security and Turock tactical chief, or Chief gunner for that matter.

Just to clarify, most ships will have a combined Tac/sec chief, but on our ship they are two different departments. The work often overlaps, but in general Security has to do with maintaining security and discipline on board the ship, whereas tactical has to do with weapons systems and security, defence and attack operations outside the ship.

If Senior staff goes on an away mission for instance, security will join them to secure them, as it is not a battle. Tactical will remain on board to guard the ship. That does not mean that security will never fight enemies and tactical will never go on away missions, it just means that their reason for going would be different.

Our ship's database contains discriptions for all the positions. I have stuck with Starfleet descriptions as the descriptions for Klingon ship were scetchy to say the least, but I will change some of the names of the departsments as we go along.

Now for the mission notes:

At the moment, we are planning the rescue of Xaedell and Bel and Kronyx and hopefully we will have that done soon.

As you have all noticed, an unknown Klingon ship has set a persuit course and will catch up with us soon..... be ready for what that entails heheheh....

Hi all

I have had a look through the saved mission posts, and there are quite a few good ones but they have never seen the light. Please look at them, they have to show on your control panel, and adapt them and post them please. Change the time, mission or context and post them, even as backposts. If you are not sure, please let me know and I can have a look at what we can do
